Aiming for 2 divisions depending on number of teams that sign up

2 time slots per week: 6:15 PM and 7:15 PM
Played on full-size regulation 4s volleyball courts (9m x 9m)
Scoring & AVP Rules (Modified for 4s)
Rally scoring (point scored on every rally)
Block does NOT count as a touch (4s format)
A Net is a Net – If you contact any portion of the net during play, it is a fault.
Antennae – The standards (poles) are the antennae. If the ball touches or passes over the poles, it is out.
Court Boundary – Entering any adjacent court that is scheduled for competition during play is a fault.
Hard Driven Ball – Finger action and double (beach dig) allowed for first contact on a hard-driven ball.
Redirecting a block – Redirecting a block is legal as long as there is no extended contact (catch/throw).
No Center line Violations – If a player goes under the net during play, it is not a fault, unless it interferes with the other team’s ability to play the ball.
Substitutions
If one player on a doubles team cannot attend and no subs are found, they can play down to doubles against 4s.
The players that are not attending are responsible to find thier own subs.
If your coed partner is not able to make it, still play! Triples is allowed.
PLEASE GIVE ADVANCE NOTICE TO THE LEAGUE DIRECTOR IF YOU CANNOT FIND A SUB!
If you have more than one no show weeks, your team may be in danger of being removed from the league.
Timeouts & Delays
A single one minute timeout per set is allowed per team.
Game Delay Forfeiture – Any delay longer than 20 minutes creates a forfeiture of the first set.
General League Rules
Fixed coed pairs (one guy, one girl) for the entire season
Pairs rotate into 4s teams each week
Byes will be given fairly when needed
Sportsmanship and respect are required at all times
Any disputes will be decided by the league director
Cost & Prizes
This is not an official league and therefore does not cost anything to participate in.
If you have a net you may be asked to bring it each week to provide nets for the courts
Prizes will be limited and may depend on how much is gifted at the beginning of the league
